Biola University is suing the Obama administration over new rules within the health care bill, which were signed into law last year in August.
One of the new rules states institutions must provide contraceptives including Plan B at no cost. There is an exemption for churches but not religious institutions like Biola.
Today President Barry Corey reaffirmed the university’s stance against such a law. In his YouTube message Corey stated, “It is unjust that the federal government has mandated that institutions of faith like Biola…violate their consciences in this manner.”
According to Christianity Today, Corey says that other religious institutions will issue lawsuits. In fact, six other Christian colleges have done so including: Wheaton College, Colorado Christian College, Grace, Geneva College, and Louisiana College.
